Business Systems Administrator




PwC provides industry-focused Assurance, Tax, and business consulting services to build public trust and enhance value for our clients and our stakeholders. Position:
We are looking for a person who will be responsible for PwC internal business systems administration. The systems are used in PwC offices around the world in East, Central and West clusters. The person will be responsible for areas related to administration, new instances boarding, tuning and support to selected firm members representatives.


Business Systems Administrator


Detailed responsibilities:
RDBMS management (DB Engine, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, Integration Services) - tuning and configuration, capacity management,
PwC internal business applications 2nd level support, liaising with 3rd level support and external vendors on system modifications and problem issues raised by PwC users,
Participation in implementation of new business management systems and new versions of existing systems,
Developing and customizing interfaces between internal PwC applications and other business management systems,
Participation of internal projects and tasks assigned to regional Business Systems Administrators group.


The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following skills and experiences:
  • Educational requirements: Computer Science; Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience. Preferred masters' degree,
  • Minimum Experience: practical experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012 DBMS (MCTS / MCITP equivalent level).
  • Good Transact SQL coding skills (queries and stored procedures) ,
  • Ability to translate business requirements into information (analytical skills)
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012 DBMS administration (relational and analytical databases),
  • Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing database servers using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 / 2012,
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written,
  • Strong sense of responsibility to the customers.

The following skills and/or experiences will be a plus:
  • Windows Server 2008 administration,
  • Microsoft IIS 7.5 administration,
  • Hands-on experience in process ma nagement (ie. Test Management, Release Management, Build Management, UAT and Validation, Incident Management, Change and Problem Management, Project Management; Technology Management),
  • General experience with financial systems.
